Brothers,After that letter was read, our hearts werefilled with so much love for our Red Brethren, that, on looking over and considering the busi-ness upon which we had come, we felt a desireto see as many of you together as could beconvened: and this day was then agreed upon, for us to meet you. Brothers,We believed, that the things we had tosay, were of great importance to our Red Bre-thren; and therefore it was that we requested tosee you together; that you all might have anopportunity of hearing what we have to say. Brothers,Our hearts are filled with thankfulness tothe Great Spirit, that he has brought us safelyto the country of our Red Brethren, and pro-tected us through our journey. We also rejoicethat he has given us this opportunity of seeingyou, and of taking you by the hand. Brothers,It is now a little more than two years sinceyour brothers of Baltimore had an opportunityof becoming acquainted with the Five Medals, theLittle Turtle, Tuthinipee, and some other chiefs.
