and among other services particularly enjoined on thesaid sub committee, they were requested to corres-pond with such committees of the neighbouringYearly Meetings as are or may be appointedfor the like perpose. It is desired that letters and communications onthe subject may be directed to Thomas Wistarour Clerk who will on nessary occasions calla Meeting of the said 15 Friends. They nowconceive it seasonable to furnish you with someinformation of their progress and movements inthe business intrusted to their care. The committee at large concluded to address ourquarterly and Monthly Meetings thereon and tocirculate the same in all the particular Meetin-gs together with the minutes on our Yearly Meetingand extracts from divers Speeches and Letters ofIndian Chiefs all tending to spread useful informationand draw the attention of our Members to the situ-ation of these distressed people, which we hope willhave a beneficial effect by exciting in the mindsof Individuals a feeling sympathy with themand an increasing desire to be helpful in promotingtheir civil and religious improvement, severalSober religious minded persons having already
