to yield him the necessary aid to enable himto carry into effect his plan The committee after solid deliberation onthe present situation of the concern refered tous by the yearly meeting, were united in thejudgment that under present circumstances itwill be most prudent to confine our operations for the present season to the employingof two persons for the purpose of aiding theIndians on the Wabash 2 or 3 months inputing in their crop and geting it so farforward as that they will able to cultivate&;secure it afterwards themselves. The sub committee were accordingly directed to give this information to that part of the committee whoreside on the west side of the mountains andto request John Johnson to employ on our behalftwo suitable men for that purpose and authorise him to draw on our Treasurer for theAmt. of expence that may be incured = They werealso desired to direct the last years crop whichhad been secured in cribs to be divided amongstthe Indians at the village in such way as thechiefs &; John Shaw might think right anddeliverd to them as a present from FriendsThen adjourned
