After he had done speaking each of our company had some further remarks to make tending to strengthen them in their Good resolutions, and encourage them to persevere in habits of industry and Sobriety, to all which the Chiefs Warrier particularly replied -- addressing each of us,&; first rehearsing what we had said nearly verbatim, &; concluded with saying, "he hop'd the Great Spirit would preserve us in as good health as we now were, till we got home to our wives &; Children, &; that on our arival we might find them all well and all the Great men at our Counsel in Phila. We then shook hands with them &; ended the Counsel which was the most satisfactory one we have had among the Indians, the most of them being sober solid looking Men, and the Chief Warrior a man of grave deportment retentive memory &; sound Judgement fully capable of retaining every thing we had communicated
