but were not prepared with the account, they were directed to produce it at our next Meeting; the further consideration of the situation of these Tribes was referred to our next Meeting The Committee to make a visit to the Western tribes were not prepared to report the performance of the service confided to them; but information being given that one of said Committee &; one of the General Committee had been with the Oneidas &; inspected into the state of things amongst them, the attention of the Committee was turned to the consideration thereof, and it appearing much to our satisfacion that considerable advancement had been made by the Indians during the last year in the cultivation of their lands &; that they had a prospect of good crops; &; in order to encourage and assist them therein it was concluded that an additional number of Oxen, as well as implements of husbandry, such as ploughs, chains &;c.
