It is now in the hands of the members for theHome Department, through whose medium, I trust, and ardently hope, it may be rendered useful in thiscountry. According to your desire, I have occasion-ally been employed, for some time past, in collectingevery publication which appears to me to bear onsubjects of this nature, as well as on other topics ofpolitical economy, which have appeared to me to beanalogous. The whole are sent in a box addressedto you, by this opportunity, in conformity to a list now inclosed; and I have particularly to request thatyou will accept of them from me, as a mark of my esteem and regard.
