Life of Thomas Eddy

SW_WH1793_Page_346

Mr. Eddy left a widow, a son, and two daughters,to mourn his loss, and to cherish his memory. Mrs.Eddy died the summer of 1832. She fell a victim tothat scourge of the human raceā€”the cholera. Shewas a virtuous woman, highly respected by all whoknew her. She was a helpmate to her spouse, asfar as was proper for her sex, in all his labours ofphilanthropy. The silent unobtrusive course of agood wife, has a wonderful influence on the charac-ter and fame of her husband.
