Bio notes | Daniel Offley was born on May 24, 1756, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of Daniel Offley and Rachel Davies. Convinced by Jonathan Evans, Jr. Minister, c. 1780 visited most of the meetings in the USA. In 1786 with Samuel Emlen visited islands in the West Indies. Signed letter from Quakers to northwestern Indians in 1793. He died on October 11, 1793 after trying to bring order during the yellow fever epidemic. |
