Bio notes | At one time a quartermaster for the rebels in the Revolutionary War, but most famous for being the first settler of the Whitestown area in Oneida Country, where he arrived around 1784. In 1788, the state legislature officially recognized the town. Judge White was intimately involved in the affairs of his settlement, particularly its friendly relations with the neighboring Oneida. |
