10mo 13 1808 Pursuant to adjournment the committee again met present 27 members and our friendsJames Wilson &; Jessee Kersey from the YearlyMeeting of Philadelphia It appears by a minute of the yearlymeeting now produced that the following friendshave been added to this committee to wit WilliamWood, Samuel Test, Samuel Jones of West branchJohn Howard, James Ellicott, Jesse Tyson andWilliam Kenworthy jr. Information being spread before thecommittee that there are two settlements of theDelaware nation of Indians on reservationnear Mohicken Johns lake whose situation claimsthe sympathy of Friends, after deliberationthereon it was concluded to appoint a committee to make further enquiry into theirdisposition &;situation and report when in readinessthe following friends were accordingly appointedto wit Horton Howard William Wood, JohnHoward &;Philip E.
