Bio notes | Son of Timothy and Letitia Taylor; married Ann Schofield in 1768 and moved to Loudoun Co., VA. 1797 recognized a minister. 1800 went to Ohio to live, with his wife held the first Friends meeting in Ohio. Finally settled at Short Creek, Ohio. Hosted Gerard Hopkins in 1804. In 1818 went to Washington, DC in interests of the Indians. 1828 was clerk of Ohio Yearly Meeting. Visited as a minister most of the meetings in the United States; in 1831 went to Ireland and died there. |
